How does pricing work?
Arraylake has a platform fee (monthly) that depends on team size, deployment, and enterprise integrations. Flux uses usage-based pricing based on data volume queried. Discounted pricing is available for non-profits, academic users, and small startups.
What is your deployment architecture?
Hybrid: your data lives in your cloud, our services run in Earthmover's cloud. Data can be in your cloud storage, Earthmover-managed storage, or on-prem S3-compatible storage. Arraylake backend and Flux service run in AWS US-East-1 (multi-region on the roadmap).
Do you have a free tier?
Yes, we offer a free tier for exploration and small projects. Contact us to learn more about what's included.
What's the relationship between the platform and open source libraries?
Earthmover is built on top of Zarr, Icechunk, and Xarray — all open source libraries we actively maintain. You own your data in standard Zarr format, so you're never locked in.
What's the vendor lock-in story?
Your data is stored in the open Zarr/Icechunk format. If you ever leave Earthmover, your data remains accessible with standard open source tools.
How secure is the Earthmover platform?
We take security seriously. Earthmover supports role-based access control, audit trails, and immutable data references. Enterprise plans include additional compliance and security features.
What sort of support do you offer?
All plans include community support. Commercial plans include email support with SLAs and dedicated support channels.
